The SEO team at All Response Media regularly run creative campaigns for their clients, generating traffic through viral content. My design, front-end web dev and scripting skills were required for this particular project.

Aimed at over 50s, and to help promote Sunlife’s Life Insurance product, this interactive map invites users to explore the regions of the UK for each decade, from the 60s to the 10s. The map reveals interesting facts in this way, events that occurred for each decade across the country. As the page states, a lot has happened in the last 50 years!

The interface was built using jQuery, interacting with a vector (svg) map. This allowed for each region being clickable, despite each having irregular shapes and sitting tightly together. An additional challenge for the page was to make the content fully responsive, to target mobile users and all screen dimensions up to desktop.
